Burying the Binky
Ella has two binkies left. Both have holes chewed through them. YUCK! Anyway, we have misplaced one and the other one finally broke into pieces yesterday. A while ago we read this book to Ella called, The Last No, No. It was about this dragon who had to give up his binkys. He secretly wanted to keep them so he planted a binky in the ground. At the end he of the book he was proud of himself for not needing his binky anymore but he also looked out back and there was a big tree that had grown and it was full of binkies. So Ella has the idea in her head that if she plants her broken binky she may get more. I'm not sure if this is a good technique to get rid of her binkies for good, but its worth a try. So far we are on a second day without the binky. Yesterday, she told me that she would like to try one of Bridgettes extra binkys but I told her no. Cross your fingers for me, that we are done with binkies!!

8mo old Bridgette
Everyday Bridgette is doing something new. She is sooo close to crawling. I thought for sure by last weekend but we were on the go so much she didn't get a lot of time on the floor. Her rosey cheeks are from her teething. One of her upper baby teeth is ready to pop through. Yesterday, she pulled herself up on Ella's stool in the bathroom and then this afternoon she was babbling up in her crib and this is how I found her. (See picture below) She was on her knees smiling at me when I walked in. Then when I ran to grab the camera and she started to cry. She can also wave to you and signs, "all done" after eating.

Having Fun
Here we are at the beach on Lake Washington last weekend. There are so many great play areas around our new house. We just had to go outside and enjoy the day.

Bye Bye Crib!
Ever since the move to our new townhouse Ella has chosen to sleep in a big girl bed. The first night we moved in Jake gave her the choice to either have her bed built into a crib again or a big girl bed and she chose: A BIG GIRL BED! We were very proud of her. She loves the novelty of having sheets and a comforter. I was slightly worried about how nap time would go but after seeing these pictures you can see i don't have much to worry about except for losing Ella in her toys.

Here's little miss Bridgette- into everything.
Jake walked into Ella's room one afternoon to wake her up from a nap and this is what he found: A empty doll house- not one toy was left.

And this is how he found Ella sleeping. Can you find her? She had moved every piece of doll house to her bed. We were in tears laughing at her!

Ella the Builder
One night before the move Ella decided that her pink car whom she calls Lugga ( its from the TV show: Roary the Racing Car) needed a tune up. She and Jake had so much fun playing with the Bob the Builder tool set. Of course I couldn't leave Bridgette out so there are a couple photos of her as well.

Christmas Part 2
Ok, I am really sorry about not finishing posting the pictures of Christmas. Life got really crazy!! Our biggest change was that we moved up North for a year so that we could be closer to Jake's project office. That's my excuse and I'm sticking to it!!

Ella thrilled to death with her Cars lego set!
Me and the Girls spent the month of Dec. visiting my parents while poor Jake worked. One reason we came early to my parents was that my brother and his family were coming early for Christmas. So basically we had Christmas 1 and Christmas 2 as we like to call it. Brandon, Laura, Bennett, and Miles came to stay for 5 days. We had a blast hanging with them. It was fun watching the kids play and interact together not to mention all the amazing food and drinks that my parents prepared everyday and night. Thanks everyone for the good memories.
