Ella turns 4yrs old

Before we get to Ella's birthday, we have to give a big thanks to Grandma Menard for all her fun, creative ideas on how to have fun with house hold items before throwing them away.  Here Ella is ice skating in a pair of tissue boxes.  I was dying of laughing, the way Ella was skating around on the hardwood floors.  Then she even took it one step further and decorated the boxes with stickers.

We celebrated Ella turning 4 yrs old by making ice cream cake cones.  Notice the zebra candles Ella picked out.  She had a Barbie themed birthday so she thought the candles would go great.  She had no trouble blowing out all 4 candles.

During the day of Ella's bday we took the girls to Remlinger Farm, which is a farm with animals, train rides, pony rides and regular rides.  During the fall they have a pumpkin patch and during the summer they have many fruits and veggies that you can come pick yourself.  The girls enjoy going there especially for the real pony rides.

Our big gift to Ella this year was a big kid bike.  Jake and I were a little nervous picking it out since her taste change every week.  One week its barbie the nexts its Polly pockets.

So we chose a Hello kitty bike and crossed our fingers she would like it the day of her birthday.  Thank goodness she did.  She wanted to get right on it and ride.  We were very proud of her.
