A week in Spokane

We all went to Spokane for a week so that Jake could study for this huge SE (structural engineering license) test that was being offered there.  Some people study for this exam for a year in order to pass.  But not Jake he does his best work under pressure.  He barely got the books unwrapped. He thought he was doing good for studying for a total of 4.5 days.  Mind you there is only a 38% passing rate on this very expensive exam.  After the second 8hr day of test taking he actually thinks he might have passed.  We will find out 8-10 wks from now.  All prayers are welcome for Jake to pass this test!!!
For those of us who didn't have to study we had fun hanging out with Uncle Brandon for a day.  Here is Brandon holding his newest niece.  He was impressed because she didn't even cry.  She is such a good baby!

All his nieces!

Jake did manage to break away from studying to play with his girls at night and a lunch time.

Nana and Papa also got to spend a lot of time with the girls.  Here is Nana and Bridge rocking their babies to sleep.  Nana is holding the real baby, Molly.  Thanks again Mom and Dad for feeding us such amazing meals, doing all our laundry and helping out with the girls.

Molly's Baptism

Where to begin...  Molly hasn't napped really all morning, she hadn't pooped in 2 days and she hadn't eaten very much that morning.  Sounds like a recipe for disaster to me.  Mass was at 11am on Sunday Oct. 14th.  We had plans to fully submerge her which meant she was supposed to start out just wrapped in a towel and a diaper.  All was going well until Molly decided to start crying and wouldn't stop.  So i excused myself from the second row during mass to calm her down.  Came back in for the homily only to have to leave again right before the priest was starting the baptism part of the mass.  We were the second family in line for baptism that day.  I barely had time to calm her down and basically had to meet everyone in the back of the Church as the priest is calling for Molly to come to baptismal font.  It all was such a blur.  The whole thing happened so fast and then it was over and Molly was sleeping.

Jake and the Priest, I was too busy talking to my Preschool mom friends from Ella's old school.

 The Godparents- Jennie and Reggie!
Molly in her baptism gown which my Grandpa wore at his baptism.  Ella and Bridgette also wore this family heirloom on there baptism day.  The bonnet was given to us by Auntie Renee and Uncle Tim.

Pumpkin Patch 2012

We took a chance on the weather last weekend when we went to visit a pumpkin patch with friends and Grandma and Grandpa.  My best friend from Highschool Jennie and her husband Reggie came out for Molly's baptism from San Fransisco.  They are who we chose to become Molly's Godparents.  Marjie and Pierre also had flown out for the special occasion.  It was so wonderful that they could join us for the weekend.  The girls were super excited to pick out pumpkins.  We scoped out a new farm to try out this year and it was awesome.  It had a little of everything, even fresh grilled corn on the cob.  The girls favorite!

The hay ride out to the pumpkin field.  Molly decided she needed to eat so I had to miss this part of the fun.

My all time favorite picture of the entire day!

The girls loves horse back riding, so of course we couldn't say no.  Both girls rode on Taffy the horse.

3 month old Molly

Molly is such a great baby.  I have been waiting for her to take a turn for the worse in her temperament but she hasn't.  She is usually the one who acts the best all day.  Maybe she just knows she is the third child and has to be content and patient for her turn.  As you can see the girls are still loving her.  Molly's head/ neck is getting so strong that she can keep it up for long periods of time when on her tummy.  Pretty soon she will start rolling over.  Time is going by so fast, I can't believe it!

Lots of smiles!

more 2mos info about Molly

A little late on posting the stats from Molly's 2mo check up:
95% for weight (14lbs) and height
50% for head size
color of eyes are still to be determined.  Our pediatrician said that by 6mo we should know for sure.  Keep your fingers crossed for blue!  It would be neat to have one child with eyes that aren't brown.

Molly 2months old

She is growing up so fast.  I don't want to even schedule her two month old check up because I am in denial.  Molly has quite the personality.  She smiles a ton and is cooing lots.  She is a very happy and easy going baby so far.
