Molly Molly Molly

Molly has so much personallity.  She loves to smile and laugh espcially when the girls are playing with her.  She isn't the best napper which makes it hard to get things done or spend a lot of quality time with the other two big kids but a least she is good when she is awake.  She has started to eat a little bit of baby food.  And now that she is 6mo old it opens up a whole new world of food that she can try.  Molly has been sitting up all by herself for weeks now, she rolls over both ways easily, and still just has two teeth.
Enjoy!

Happy New Years 2013

We rang in the New Year with a Bang!!! We had a shouting contest with the neighbors using pots and pans before the kids went to bed.  The girls thought it was great to be able to scream as loud as they could!!  Jake also brought out left over sparklers from the 4th of July.  Ella loves doing it herself, B on the other hand gets nervous around them but loves to watch the fireworks.  In our neighborhood, there were quite a few people who lit off fireworks so the girls got to watch those as well.  We all went to bed late but then managed to sleep in the next morning, which was nice.

Little Betty Crockers

Auntie Lindsey and Uncle Paul got the girls these baking kits, with aprons, and sprinkles.  Right up the girls alley.  They LOVE to bake with me.  I think the main reason is because I always let the lick the beaters.
Here the girls we making baby cupcakes, they turned out great!
Posted a couple bonus pictures of Molly too!

Snow in the mountains

On another day Jake had off we drove up to pass and went sledding.  As you can imagine everyone else had the same idea so we pulled over on the side of the rode along with many other and jumped into the snow.  It was perfect, just what the girls needed.  They had so much fun making snow angels and sledding down a small hill.  Me and Molly just hung out by the car while taking in the beautiful scenery and laughing at how silly the girls were acting.

Bowling

Jake took the week between Christmas and New Years.  We got to spend a lot of quality time together.  On one of the days we went bowling with the family.  The girls love playing bowling on the Wii and had only bowled one other time about a year ago at a birthday party.  Ella was too nervous to try back then, she wouldn't even put on the shoes.  This time it was a whole new story.  Ella was all about and had no fear!  What a difference a year makes.  Bridgette is always game so she did great.
Sorry the last picture is blurry.

Christmas 2012

We spent Christmas in our new house this year.  My parents were able to make the drive through the snow filled mountains to be with us.  We all had a great time, ate too much as usual and had fun watching the kids unwrap their presents.

This year Ella asked Santa for 111 kittens and cats and Bridgette asked him for a new baby doll.  As you can see, Santa couldn't pull off the kittens and cats. However, he found this pretty awesome Barbie doll house.  Ella couldn't believe it when she saw it that morning.  Bridgette on the other hand was thrilled and couldn't believe Santa brought her what she asked for.

Christmas Eve

Bridgette couldn't believe it was Christas Eve!
After Mass the girls went and sprinkled reindeer food they had made outside for Santa's reindeer.  The indgredients were oatmeal, barley, sprinkles and of course sparkles.  The sparkles allow the reindeer to find our house.

Believe it or not Santa found our house!  This is what the girls woke up to on Christmas morning.

The Minivan Express

Christmas was so fun this year, we were able to do so many outings to get everyone in the Christmas spirit.  A few nights for before Christmas I laminated and printed these golden tickets. The idea was a spin off from the Polar Express but it was the Minivan Express to go see Christmas lights.  I hid them in a book I set out read that night.  While I got the girls ready for bed, Jake made popcorn, hot chocolate and got the minivan warmed up.  I finally settled the girls down and read my story and when we got to a certain page the tickets fell out.  I had to explain what they said because they can't really read yet.  They were very excited. We all hoped in the car even Molly and drove around and saw Christmas lights.  We even stopped by a couple of places that had these huge light shows all coordinated with music you could listen to in the car. Next year we will do it again but probably travel to Seattle for some really cool neighborhoods that all do lights.  This will definately become a tradition for us.  I can't take all the credit for this idea, pinterest helped on this one.
