The Easter Bunny came to our house yesterday morning. It was fun watching Ella's expressions on her face when she saw all the Easter eggs that were hidden around the house. We also went to our first Easter eggs hunt in the morning. There was tons of candy and eggs for the kids. The Easter bunny was even there for some photo ops. Plus they had crafts for kids and these famous face painters. I gave Ella lots of ideas to choose from like Minnie Mouse, Tinker Bell or one of the Disney Princesses to put on her cheek but she had her mind made up that she wanted her "Love" which for those who don't know it's what she calls her blanket. You should have seen the artists face when Ella told her what she wanted. Ella sat very still and was very pleased with her Love on her cheek.

Chuck E Cheese
We had a very busy weekend. First stop on Sat. we a birthday party at Chuck E Cheese. Me and Jake hadn't been into one of these places since we were little so we didn't know what to expect except a whole lot of craziness and germs. So I was nervous about how Ella was going to respond to all the children running around playing games and chasing after Chuck E, but she amazed me once again. She LOVED Chuck E. She gave him a high five and even danced with him. At first she was hesitant about playing games but then she really got into it and had a blast. After leaving the birthday party it was so nice outside that we couldn't just go home. Jake scoped out this hidden little park in a Bellevue neighborhood. It was beautiful, Ella and Jake put there toes in Lake Washington while I let Bridgette crawl in the grass. Bridgette likes textures so grass had her fascinated. All in all it was a great day.
Decorating Eggs
Earlier in the week we had our friends over to decorate Easter eggs. Ella did awesome, she loved watching the eggs change colors. I think each egg got about 3 coats of colors.
Random new picture of Bridgette. She just doesn't stop smiling these days.

Tulip Festival
On Saturday we packed everyone up and headed to Mount Vernon which is about an hour away from our new house. The tulips festival is somewhere Jake and I had been wanting to visit since we moved to Washington. It poured down rain most of the way so we were thinking twice about the whole trip. However, when we go there the clouds parted and the sun came out. It was still cold, windy and most of all muddy. The mud was probably the worst part but all the beautiful tulips made up for it. I brought home many bundles of tulips so our house is filled with them. Even my bathroom has flowers in it right now.

Cupcakes
Last weekend I planned a girls day out for one of my friends that is pregnant with her second boy. She didn't want any gifts or anything blue so we went for lunch and facials. In my group of Olympia friends I am known for my deserts so I had to make something. So I chose Spring cupcakes. It was my first time working with fondant and it was really fun. I had such a good time making them I am going to make carrot cake cupcakes with cream cheese frosting for Easter. I'll post a picture of those in a couple of weeks.

I think Ella was trying to negotiate with Jake about something. Quite the face!

Pictures and More Pictures
I have been slacking on blogging and posting pictures lately. I think about it a lot, does that count? Hopefully, these bring you up to speed.
Ella has been interacting with Bridgette much more. She helps her walk, tickles her, shares her toys, feeds her, and likes to teach her new words. The other day I told Ella that I was going to take a shower and then we could play doll house and she asked if Bridgette could come play with her. It just melted my heart.
Bridgette is thankfully taking the bottle more and more without any problems and is standing on her own for longer periods of time. She really wants to walk but when she goes to take a step she sits down instead. She also is climbing up everything. The other day I looked over at Bridgette and she was two drawers up on Ella's dresser. She is definitely my WILD child.
Bath time fun!Me and Ella- yes my face is shiny only because I had just gotten home from a facial.
Don't look to close she has food all around her nose. I thought the picture was cute otherwise.
Yet another cute picture but she is full of drool.
