Grandma Menard made these cute shirts for the girls. I even have another set in pink. I have been having a lot a fun dressing them up in them.
As you can see in many of the pictures Bridgette has found her fists and just can't get enough. I'm not sure if I'd rather have her use a binky or eventually find her thumb? Both have there negatives and positives.
Today, Bridgette has been rolling from side to side. I think her weight definitely gives her an advantage. Ella on the other hand is very busy these days playing "mommy" and hanging out with "Brad and Bill" her firemen. She is constantly talking and trying out new words in sentences. She even sings little songs as she talks its really cute.

Ella turns 2
Ella turned two on Monday. We didn't do much in the way of a party over the weekend because we had just had so much company the previous week. So we just kept it to eating cake all weekend and opening a few presents each night. Ella was really into opening her presents this which made it fun. Her new favorite saying is: Oh my gosh, where is (then she fills in a name)?
Ella on her b-day. She wouldn't stand pretty so this is what i ended up with.
Look at that face- she could hardly wait to dig in!!
And of course a Thomas the Train cake but with girly colors. Fingers crossed she will want something more girly next year.

Extra Time with Grandma & Grandpa Menard
Grandma and Grandpa stayed a few extra days to hang out with the girl, after all the company for the Baptism had left. One day we went to the Zoo. The new baby Tigers, the Monkeys and the Walrus all were a big hit.
We went to a new park that Ella had never been to right on the beach. She wasn't to happy about leaving, it was that good!
And one night we even let Ella open her birthday gifts from her Grandma and Grandpa early. Hmmm I wonder who let her do that. For those who don't know, me and Jake are notorious for opening gifts early.

Grandpa Menard with Bridgette.
As most of you know we were very busy this past weekend with Bridgette's Baptism. We had lots of great family come to visit from far and wide. One of the most exciting parts for Ella was getting to hang out and play with her cousin Bennett. They both had some lessons in sharing but for the most part got along very well. Grandma and Grandpa Menard also flew in from MN to be with us for Bridgette's special day.

*FYI: I am filing a missing toy report: Has anyone seen or know where Gary, Ginger and Princess Vespa are? We can't find them anywhere. Just this morning we were able to locate: Prince Lonestar and the Mom. They were hiding in Ella's dresser drawer.
