Playing with baby

Ella has really became a good little mom to her babies lately. On Monday, she surprised me by asking to use my nursing cover so she could "feed her baby." Then later that morning I told her that we had to take Bridgette to the doctor. The first thing she asked was if she could bring her baby. I told her of course she could. Once we go to the doctor, she was adamant that her baby was checked just like baby Bridgette. Both the nurse and the doctor were sweet enough to check Ella's baby's eyes, nose, weight, and mouth. You'd think that Ella would be satisfied with that. Then out of the blue while i was talking to the doctor Ella blurts out that she needs to have her baby's head measured. She must have remembered doing this to baby Bridgette the last time we went to the doctor. It's funny what kids remember.

Feeding baby after breakfast.

Finally summer!

Baby Bridgette is getting so BIG- as of yesterday she weighs 11lbs. She has pretty much grown out of her newborn clothes and moved on to 3mos size. I can't believe it!

First dip in the pool of the season.

There is so much to say about Ella these days. She is quite the parrot. Many phrases she says are almost full sentences. She can say the entire alphabet, count to 10 with no problems, and can sing parts of Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star and Rock a bye Baby and can tell you all her body parts including parts like her ankles and elbows.
Last night during bath time she was picking up her toys getting ready to get out and decided to throw a toy back in the water and then called herself, "snot pot" How funny is that.

Grandma's visit

Margie, Jake's mom came to visit a couple of weeks ago. She was a huge help with the girls and for me. My house was always picked up and there was never a dish that hadn't been cleaned. She even cleaned the bathroom, vacuumed and re-made the bed with fresh sheets on it for my mom who was visiting next. Ella had tons of fun playing with Grandma. We can't wait to see you in August!!

The BOB has arrived

Family time at the playground

Fell asleep after tummy time
Everyone was having a good time except Bridgette. Don't worry once we got moving she was perfect. I love my new stroller, its the best thing we have bought for the girls!! I can literally push it with one finger it's so smooth.

Eyes open

Yes, Bridgette does open her eyes. She is awake a lot more during the day and sleeping pretty well at night. She can even turn her head from one side to the other during tummy time.

Big Sister

We took Ella to Lattin's Country Cider Mill last weekend for her to enjoy a farm full of animals. She has a great time feeding and looking at them all. Me and Jake's favorite part was getting to eat homemade apple fritters and hot apple cider. Yum!!

Ella was obsessed with the bunnies.

Bridgette 3 weeks old

We just went to the doctors this morning and found out she weighs 9lbs, just last Friday she was 8.4lbs. Besides a couple of rough nights things are going great!!!

Bridgette is 2 weeks old

Having a sweet dream!

I didn't put her in that pose, I promise.

I tried to get a picture with her eyes open.

Playhouse

This hand me down playhouse has been a huge hit for Ella. We have tea parties inside and love to play hide and seek.
The video we posted last night of Ella saying her numbers was also supposed to include her be able to say Bridgette. She is able to say her name quite well. I'll try to get it on video again soon. Also Ella is able to say the alphabet. She skips some letters and thinks that "LMNO" is "Elmo", its very cute. And just today she was able to tell me her shapes. I know we say this a lot but she truly amazes me everyday!!

Ella Counting

Ella is pretty amazing these days. She's learning so fast. She has been able to count to ten for a while and the other day we decided to keep going and she can almost go to twenty. I don't know where she got it, we never count beyond ten! I hope this isn't a sign that she'll become an engineer like me.
