Christmas 2008

Our Christmas holiday actually began by having to shovel our way out of our driveway so we could leave for Spokane. It took us almost 8hrs to get to Nana and Papa's. We had a wonderful time visiting with family. It was very exciting, Ella got to meet her cousin Bennett for the first time. Here are is a cute pictures of the both of them on Christmas Eve.

Thanks to everyone who made Ella's first Christmas special. I am sure she will enjoy all the toys and clothes she recieved. Here are a few additional pictures of our Christmas in Spokane!

Winter Wonderland

This is what we woke up to this morning! Plus it snowed all afternoon giving us another 3 inches. I know it doesn't compare to what Spokane just got but it's exciting for us over on the other side of the mountains. Below are some extra pictures for you to view.

Nana's Visit

Nana, came to visit just a few days after Thanksgiving. We had a great time with her. We shopped our way through downtown Olympia, we got our hair cut, went out for dinner and spent a lot of time shopping online for good deals.

Rolling over

Ella has been trying to roll over for weeks now. It usually took a little help from us to get her all the way over but tonight she was a big girl and did it all by herself several times. It was amazing to see the delight she had on her face when she realized what she had done. It will open up a whole new world for her to explore. Now, we have to teach her how to roll back on her back.

4mo check up

At Ella's 4mo check up she had another round of shots and her doctor said that she can start trying rice cereal. So these pictures document her first experience. It was a little messy but she did great.

Christmas Pj's

I realize I haven't posted many new pictures of Ella so there will be many new posts after this one to catch you all up to speed. Ella has been wearing a lot of red and green which is a nice break from all the pink in her closet but twice yesterday while we were shopping up in Bellevue people thought she was a boy. Poor thing.

Naptimes

Ever since Nana and Papa came to visit we have been working on Ella's sleeping habits. She has never been a good napper. So we are trying to teach her how to fall asleep on her own. In the long run this will make things easier on me and Jake. Right now the hardest part is hearing her cry or in her case whimper. Overall, things have gone well. One a side note we think she is cutting her first tooth- I saw it with my own eyes last night. I'm so proud!!
Thanks Great Grandma Caskey for knitting me hats! I love them!

What a good little napper.
