Strollin' Around

Last Friday our infamous stroller arrived. As some of you already know Jake and I had spent many hours looking for the perfect stroller. We had finally made a decision only to find out the day of my baby shower that there was a recall of the carseat base. What a let down. After doing some research we discovered that the new models of our Chicco Cortina travel system stroller were not affected by this recall. So we ordered it online and it came perfectly intact to our house!!
Here is a picture for you to see:

Week 33

So here I am at 33 weeks pregnant. Everything is getting larger my face, my butt, my boobs, and of course my belly, as Jake would say "its all part of the deal" However, my belly button has not fully turned to an outtie but it is on the verge and no stretch marks!!! Thanks mom for the Mama Bee belly butter.

You can tell that as the weeks go on Baby Menard has gotten stronger with her kicks and punches. You can actually see body parts slowly moving across my tummy in the evening. It's pretty amazing. The doctor said I am right on track with everything and after next weeks appoint. I will be going to be checked every week.

The babies room is still not complete and I probably have Jake going insane about it but, my desire to nest has started to kick in and I feel the urge to get organized!!! First it was the downstairs coat closet, then it was the garage where i keep all my gardening tools and now I am just itching to get in the babies room.

Jake on the other hand is having fun trying out all the new things we have bought for the baby including this new glider-rocker w/ ottoman. Here is Jake practicing rocking Avery our cat. Don't they look cute together?

Oregon Coast

This weekend Jake and I went to the Oregon Coast. We stayed at this oceanfront hotel in Seaside and spent most of Saturday visiting Cannon Beach and Haystack Rock. Both are cute towns right on the Pacific ocean. We did a little beach combing but due to my pregnancy condition our long walks on the beach were cut shorter than we had hoped. At one point during our trip we actually drove on the beach because at Cannon beach they were having a sand castle building contest. Here are a couple pictures from our relaxing weekend. Notice the one of me standing in line waiting to go to the bathroom. It's a very common theme these days.

First Baby Shower

Hosts: Joanna and Jennifer

Delicious dessert
Today I had a baby shower given to me by my friends Jen and Joanna. It was absolutely beautiful, the food was fantastic and every last detail was just perfect. The shower was for some of my close friends from Olympia and many ladies I volunteer with from the Junior League. All the gifts everyone gave me were just over the top. Thanks again to everyone who was there.
