Baby Bedding has arrived

Baby things that Jake and I have ordered are finally starting to arrive. It's very exciting. Jake picked up the baby bedding from Seattle on Monday. I had ordered it online so all I had to go from was internet pictures. But, it turns out I love it!! The colors are perfect so now I can finally choose my paint color for the walls. Of course it's going to be a shade of pink.

We are still trying to finish our kitchen before we move to the baby's room but time is quickly slipping away. Let's just say, Jake has a lot of work to do.
Things are still going well with the pregnancy, this week will mark the 26th week. Baby Menard is kicking both sides of me pretty much all throughout the day, mainly after a good meal. The other day on the way back from Spokane on the airplane, I was reading a magazine and literally my stomach was moving the magazine up and down. It's such a neat feeling. There will be another showing of the baby bump either this week no next.

Profile ~ 24 Weeks

SUCCESS!! I've got a photo that passed the test.

Erin's Belly

Erin's belly recently eclipsed my beergut I've been working on for the last 12 years (created by cases upon cases of Miller High Life). I was hoping to post a photo of the round protrusion, but Erin didn't like any of the photos we took. I hope I can get the lighting just right one of these days and post the photo. She really is a cute pregnant lady, so I'd like to share that with y'all. Stay tuned.

Does this thing work?

Test. Test one two.

It's a girl

This is the first official "blog" entry. I'm sure by now everyone knows that Jake and I are having a baby girl. We found out during our 20 week ultrasound on March 14th. I thought for sure I was destined for boys but little did we know. Although, Jake claims he knew all along.

To make things more exciting on that special day for each of the grandparents I first blew out the yoke of 4 eggs. Then I dyed two of the eggs green and two eggs yellow. Each set of grandparents then got one green and one yellow. Inside each egg I was able to place a note: the green egg would hold the message: "its a girl" and the yellow egg would have: "its a boy." After the ultrasound we called Jake's parents and let them know what color egg to crack open. My parents just happened to be anxiously waiting for us back at our house which is where they then got to break open the GREEN EGG.

Anyway, it was fun to see my parents expressions when they found out they were going to have another granddaughter. For Grandpa and Grandma Menard it is there first girl grandbaby.

Well, I think that should take everyone up to speed. Look for the next blog entry to see how big baby Menard is getting or should we say how big I am getting. The baby bump picture is coming!!!
